Ok, you can't see my face right now, but pretend I'm looking incredibly serious. Believe me when I say I can't see anything making me not want to hang out with you.
[It's only a few minutes after the text goes through that Pia pokes her head out the front door of the apartment. She looks normal enough, albeit a little green and tired from a wicked hangover.]
No of course not, I invited you over just so you can look at me standing in the lobby. [She snorts, rolling her eyes and opening the door wider to let him.]
Thanks for coming over. I didn't want to break our promise after running off last night.
You're pretty Pia, but I think even that'd get a bit boring.
[He walks in through the door before shaking his head.] If something had come up, something would have come up. I'd understand. Still, it's good to see you again Pia.
Hmm...I'll tell you only as long as you don't freak out about it. Promise you'll keep cool, okay? [She pulls him into an open elevator, grabbing his hand and staring him in the eyes as the doors close behind them and they start to climb.]
I was on the network and this girl, her name is Brooke, was having a hard time because her arm is paralyzed, and she was just really in the dumps. So I went to console her, as I do, and...we had a few drinks and...well...[Her cheeks turn a little red. She's not often embarrassed, but for whatever reason, telling Thomas that she got frisky with a girl she barely knew was making her cheeks warm.] And then she asked me to bite her, so I did, and...well. [She made a sour face, and the elevator dinged, opening to her floor.]
[He was a bit surprised by the request but nodded.] I promise.
[Thomas listened and nodded, looking a bit surprised when Pia actually blushed a bit. He looked like he was about to say something, but stopped and waited for her to finish.]
Ok, a couple things. First off, that was REALLY stupid. You have giant fangs, why did you think biting someone's neck was a good idea? Wait right, drinks.
[Thomas squeezes her hand softly and walks with her out of the elevator. There are those implications in what she told him, but like she said before, dating wasn't really her thing so they were taking things slow. Hell, he wasn't sure if they were really much more than friends currently.]
Either way, I'm just glad you're ok. I was worried something might have happened like you snapped and bit someone or something.
She asked me to bite her! I wouldn't have bit her if she didn't want me to. I'm not reckless with the registered weapons that happen to be attached to my face. [She leads him down the hall, until they got to her apartment at the end of the hall, dropping his hands to take out her keys.]
But the thing is...now I want to bite people. Like a craving for chocolate or something except if the chocolate was walking around by the hundreds and you could smell and hear the chocolate being pumped through people's veins. And if eating chocolate disgusted most people. Maybe chocolate isn't be best analogy...
[Thomas was suddenly very aware of his neck, absentmindedly rubbing it with his now free hand.]
Oh, so THAT was the echo. Yeah, chocolate isn't the best analogy.
[Well, here came an important decision. Eh fuck it, he might as well take the risk for her.] Well, while I don't doubt there are people who'd take that price for some necking from you ... I .. I guess I'd be willing to offer my neck if it ever gets too bad.
Thanks, Tommy~ That's kind of cute, actually. I don't know how bad it'll get. I have the worst hang over right now so I haven't been keen to try to eat something aside from AB Positive. But I'm hoping I don't have to survive only on that, because it actually kind of grosses me out.
Brooke's fine, by the way. I didn't kill her. In fact she liked it. [The door opens, and she tugs him inside, a playful smile on her face.]
I bet. I mean, it's just alot of iron and assorted other minerals. Plenty of salt too. That just has to taste bad.
Thought she was fine. I figured you'd say something if you'd accidentally ... wait what? [Thomas lets himself get pulled inside, a surprised look on his face.]
It didn't taste bad. Actually it tasted really good. Mmm...[she leans forward, resting her head against his neck. She nuzzles her nose against his throat, and takes a deep breath.] I can smell it on you, you know. It smells so good...don't give me that look, I'm not going to bite you. [She backs away, rolling her eyes.]
[Her apartment is sparse; a concrete floor studio. It's small, with a fridge, stove, and microwave squished up next to the TV and a couch. Behind a divider is the bedroom area, with a dresser and a double bed. There's a door, leading to the sparse bathroom, next to the stove. All in all it's small and sparsely decorated, and probably only costs 50 bucks a month to rent.]
[She shrugs, falling back onto the small couch and crossing her legs.] I just feel the need to...ugh! It grosses me out even though it tastes and feels so good...
[He shrugs and sits down beside her.] Well, I guess you have a taste for blood now. It could be worse. You could be one of those asian vampires that drinks spinal fluid.
Yes, the hangover is from a bit too many drinks last night. It was a fun time, actually, even with the whole Dracula thing. It's a good thing I was there last night, because this place is startlingly close to the Dead District.
Yeah, that's ... that's a very good thing. [Thomas got a bit quiet at the end there before smiling again.]
I hope you didn't bleed her too much. Now isn't a good time to be drawing attention to ourselves and I think someone bleeding heavily from the throat would draw attention.
We were alone, and if anyone asks she can say the bandaid was just too cover a bad hickey or something, I suppose. I was worried if sick her dry at first but I am to have some control at least.
